POLAR EXPRESSIONS
is the monthly publication of Mensa Alaska.  We reserve the right to edit for purposes of clarity and space, and to decide if or when a submission will be published.  The deadline for submissions to the September edition is August 13.  All submissions should be sent to the editor. at: 





Please limit your letters/articles to not more than 250 words. Preferred media for contribution to POLAR EXPRESSIONS  is on an IBM compatible disk, in MS Word for Windows 6, 7, or higher, or Publisher. Legible hard copy is also accepted, however, the rougher your copy, the earlier the submission. Submit articles to Norma via e-mail.

For more information on submissions, call 338-5950. Material not bearing a specific copyright may be reprinted by other Mensa publications, providing that it is credited to POLAR EXPRESSIONS.

I just can’t seem to do this like I have in the past.  The Board is working with me for some possible help, so maybe in the next month or so, we’ll be back up to speed.  Your input would help—are any of you even reading this thing?

Suggestions for speakers are greatly appreciated.  What would be even more appreciated would be taking the initiative to contact the person to set up a date for them to join us at the potluck to speak on their favorite subject.
The Board is in the process of getting the information from Nationals to publish a local directory of Mensa members.  This would cover the entire state of Alaska, and would be in printed format only going only to dues-paid members in the state.  We don’t want to e-mail it, post it on the website,  or make it available to National subscribers.

PLEASE—provide us with some feedback on what you want to see in this publication.  I don’t want to waste my time and efforts putting something together that you aren’t even bothering to read.  Thanks.  Norma
