BITS AND PIECES Norma L Gertson
I just can’t seem to do this like I have in the past.
The Board is working with me for some possible help, so maybe in the next
month or so, we’ll be back up to speed. Your input would help—are any
of you even reading this thing?
Congratulations to Denise Yancey who recently placed 1st in Saber—Women’s
Division—for the state of Alaska.
Congratulations to Susan Chropka on the birth of her first grandchild—a
girl. Ask to see her pictures.
Upcoming speakers for the potlucks:
May 16, 2003 Don Naff Tarot Cards
June 20, 2003 Open
July 18, 2003 Open
August 15, 2003 Open
September 19, 2003 Open
October 17, 2003 Open
November 21, 2003 Open
December 19, 2003 Would you like Mike Campbell back?
Suggestions for speakers are greatly appreciated. What
would be even more appreciated would be taking the initiative to contact the
person to set up a date for them to join us at the potluck to speak on their
favorite subject.
The Board is in the process of getting the information from Nationals to
publish a local directory of Mensa members. This would cover the entire
state of Alaska, and would be in printed format only going only to dues-paid
members in the state. We don’t want to e-mail it, post it on the website,
or make it available to National subscribers.
PLEASE—provide us with some feedback on what you want to see
in this publication. I don’t want to waste my time and efforts putting
something together that you aren’t even bothering to read. Thanks.
Norma
